Terms of Service

1. Definitions

• "Platform" — the ExpertRoot website, mobile application, and all associated services.
• "User" / "You" — any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Platform.
• "Content" — exam questions, explanations, analytics, text, graphics, and all other material on the Platform.
• "Services" — online mock tests, practice exams, performance analytics, and any additional features provided by Expert Root.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. Institutions or coaching centres purchasing access for students take responsibility for ensuring their students comply with these Terms.

3. Account Registration and Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must not share your account with others. Each account is for a single individual's use only.
• You must notify us immediately at expertrootofficial@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we believe are being shared or misused.

4. Purchases, Payments, and Refunds

Exam access is sold on a one-time or subscription basis, as described on each product page. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

• Payment: We accept payments through our authorised payment gateways. You warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.
• Refunds: You are eligible for a full refund if requested within 24 hours of purchase, provided you have not started the exam. Once an exam is commenced, no refund will be issued.
• Failed transactions: If a payment fails but your account is not credited, contact us within 48 hours with your payment reference and we will resolve it promptly.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.

5. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal educational preparation. You may:

• Attempt purchased exams within the validity period.
• View and download your own score reports for personal reference.
• Use the Platform on any personal device you own or control.

6. Prohibited Use

You must not:

• Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any exam questions, answer keys, or explanations without prior written consent from Expert Root.
• Use any automated tool, bot, script, or browser extension to interact with the exam interface.
• Circumvent time limits, question order, or anti-cheat measures in any manner.
• Share exam content on social media, forums, messaging apps, or any public or private channel.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or access the source code of the Platform.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malicious code, or anything that disrupts the Platform.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your identity.
• Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable Indian or international law.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension, forfeiture of access without refund, and legal action under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

7. Intellectual Property

All Content on the Platform — including exam questions, explanations, graphics, software, and branding — is the exclusive intellectual property of Expert Root or its licensors, protected by Indian copyright law and international treaties. No Content may be reproduced, modified, or exploited commercially without express written permission.

By submitting feedback, bug reports, or suggestions to us, you grant Expert Root a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable licence to use such feedback to improve the Platform without any obligation to compensate you.

8. Academic Integrity

Our platform employs technical measures to maintain exam integrity, including tab-switch detection, copy-paste prevention, and randomised question ordering. Cheating includes — but is not limited to — using unauthorised materials, having a third party take the exam on your behalf, or sharing questions while the exam is live. Detection of cheating may result in immediate disqualification and account termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for accuracy, we do not warrant that exam content is error-free or that the Platform will be uninterrupted. ExpertRoot is a preparation tool; we do not guarantee success in any competitive examination. Any decisions made based on Platform analytics or content are at your sole discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Expert Root, its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or failure in any competitive examination. Our total cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Expert Root and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or any activity that we determine may harm the Platform, other users, or Expert Root. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at expertrootofficial@gmail.com. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as expressly provided in Section 4.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, conducted in the English language in Kerala, India. The arbitral award shall be final and binding. Nothing herein prevents either party from seeking urgent judicial relief.

14. Amendments

We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
